Key Responsibilities
  • Funeral Planning: 
    Meeting with families to understand their wishes and help them make personalized choices for funeral, cremation, and memorial services. 
  • Logistics and Coordination: 
    Arranging transportation for the deceased, coordinating with clergy and pallbearers, and scheduling graveside services or cremations. 
  • Paperwork and Compliance: 
    Ensuring all legal documents for the death certificate and burial or cremation are filed correctly and in a timely manner. 
  • Family Support: 
    Providing guidance, empathy, and compassionate communication to help families navigate their grief during a difficult time. 

Skills and Qualifications
  • Interpersonal Skills: 
    Strong communication, active listening, and compassion are essential for working with grieving families. 
  • Organizational Skills: 
    Excellent project management and organizational skills are necessary to coordinate complex funeral logistics within tight timelines. 
  • Technical Knowledge: 
    Familiarity with mortuary science, funeral practices, and legal requirements for death certificates and dispositions.
